Perseverance

Life throws many unexpected obstacles at you. We all face and deal with various challenges at some point or another in our lives; these are the experiences and struggles that build our character and intricately shape who we are as individuals. As tough and formidable as those moments can be at times, they ultimately contribute to the unique beauty of who we are and what we offer to this earth and its diverse tapestry of life.

I chose to navigate through the winding journey of life by embracing those daunting challenges head-on as much as I possibly can by simply living authentically and striving to get the most enriching experiences out of it. They say that you only live once, and if that’s true, then you only get one shot at making the very best of this extraordinary adventure we call life. Sure, I could undoubtedly be doing a lot of things in my life much better, like committing to exercising more regularly, eating a healthier, more balanced diet; you know, the things that a high percentage of us often mention, right? While I could certainly be doing those various things better, and I have every intention to apply myself diligently to improving in those areas, I am increasingly finding myself more actively engaged in the activities that I truly enjoy. This includes traveling to new and exciting destinations, attending a greater number of sporting events, spending more time outdoors, and embracing a more adventurous lifestyle, among other pursuits that bring me joy and fulfillment.

As I write these words today, I’ve been eagerly wanting to share my thoughts about this truly beautiful soul for quite some time now, but I knew it was important to be patient until the perfect moment arrived, allowing me to gather some outstanding content that would truly match the deep feeling behind the words that you are about to read. I am thrilled to introduce to you, Jasmine. Our paths crossed organically about a year ago through my dear friend Deanna, someone you’ve seen me collaborate with multiple times during various shoots. Jasmine happened to attend one of the sessions that Deanna and I conducted, and we quickly followed each other on Instagram afterward. Interestingly enough, during that particular shoot, I didn’t pay much attention to Jasmine; my focus was entirely on capturing the essence of our shoot with Deanna, and I was determined not to let any distractions pull me away from the moment.

Jasmine and I engaged in a delightful conversation afterwards, messaging each other back and forth, which allowed me to soon get to know her better and gain deeper insight into her personality. A few weeks after our initial encounter, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to meet her in person again at an event for which I was hired that she attended. This time, I truly took notice of her presence, and I found myself captivated by her beauty in a way I had not before. Finally, I could match the vibrant personality I had been getting to know with the person standing before me. At that point, Jasmine and I had a session scheduled, but once we had the chance to connect face-to-face, my eagerness to shoot with her grew immensely. From then on, we launched into an extraordinary series of sessions filled with breathtaking work and creativity together!

Over the course of this year, I've had the privilege of getting to know Jasmine on a deeper level, allowing me to fully appreciate her journey. The past two years have undeniably been challenging for her, to say the least. What she has been overcoming is nothing short of remarkable; she navigates life with a grace that belies the struggles she has faced. Jasmine embodies hope, radiating positivity that speaks to her resilience. Throughout our time together, I've seen her embrace better days, and what truly shines through is a newfound joy that is both inspiring and uplifting. Witnessing this transformation has been an extraordinary experience, highlighting the strength of the human spirit and it is nothing short of motivating.

I’m sometimes reminded that when I think that I have it bad, there’s likely someone out there who would probably prefer my situation over their own struggles and challenges. When meeting Jasmine and engaging in conversation with her, you’d have no idea of the deep pain and hurt that she’s been through over the years, but it truly speaks to the remarkable character of who she is that she chooses not to put her worries on display for the world to see.

I am truly honored by the wonderful friendship that Jasmine and I have cultivated over this time; we are close. We share a bond that is so strong that finding the right words to express my feelings took some time, as I wanted to curate a proper display of content that would accurately match the heartfelt tone behind this message. I am deeply privileged to be able to share this remarkable moment in life with her, as we create amazing and inspiring content together that allows her to build confidence as she embarks on this exciting new journey. Jasmine has been a tremendous influence and inspiration to me, and I can only hope that I’ve been able to reciprocate that support for her. Over the past year, we have been truly dedicated to this creative endeavor, but this is just the beginning for us.
